Following Jesus is not a one-time decision but a lifelong commitment. The Greek word akoloutheō means more than physically following someone; it describes aligning our entire life with Jesus—His priorities, values, character, mission, and ways. “Follow Me” is not merely a call to begin; it is a call to keep following Jesus until the end.
